Sarah's Story
A few years ago, I was running 7 miles every other day trying to get lean.
I thought it would make me toned.
But really, it kept me stuck, frustrated and soft.
I was stuck in a constant state of panic, fear of overeating yet bingeing most days and using alcohol as a crutch for my emotions.
I felt powerless and like I was spinning my wheels. I didn’t understand why I didn’t look the way I wanted to.
Luckily, an ankle injury was my saving grace. Not being able to run caused me to start lifting weights.
I fell in love.
I literally started an Instagram account to show off my new muscles. I could not believe my eyes. I had been waiting for decades to see them, and now they were here!!
From there, I hired my first coach.
She taught me how to reverse diet and how to fuel for athletic performance. It changed my relationship with food almost immediately. Tracking macros helped teach me how to eat enough. It showed me that food was fuel and continuing to restrict would only keep me stuck.
